About

 

Alexander Crosett has been described as "...a young pianist of extraordinary talent and accomplishment" (Thomas Mastroianni, President: American Liszt Society) for his performances throughout the United States, Canada, Italy, Spain, Germany, and France.

He won first prize in the 2006 Interlochen Concerto Competition and has since received numerous awards and scholarships. He has performed at Steinway Hall in Manhattan; Merkin Hall; the Goethe-Institut Boston; Riverdale Society of Ethical Culture; Lander University's Artist Recital Series; the Noontime Series at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston; Harvard University; University of Virginia; Interlochen Center for the Arts; Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Center and the Young Artist Recital Series at the Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Italy.

Alexander Crosett earned his Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at Manhattan School of Music as a student of André-Michel Schub and Arkady Aronov, having completed undergraduate studies with Eda Mazo-Shlyam as a Presidential Scholar at the Longy School of Music of Bard College.

He pursued additional studies with Jacques Rouvier, Aldo Ciccolini, Eteri Andjaparidze, and Solomon Mikowsky at Centre d’Arts Orford in Quebec, the Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Italy, and the Euro Arts Festival in Leipzig, Germany, as well as masterclasses from such musicians as John Perry, Peter Frankl, Ian Hobson, Ann Schein, and Olga Kern.

Alexander Crosett has held teaching positions at Manhattan School of Music, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Bloomingdale School of Music, Kennesaw State University, and the University of Georgia. A Steinway Educational Partner, he maintains an award-winning private studio.
